2018 Lexus RX 350H Hybrid – Review, MPG and Release Date

With the passage of time Lexus has put up numerous models, both in standard as well as hybrid vehicles over the years. And each of them has proven to be a raging success for the automakers exceeding both sales and expectations! The automakers will be looking to continue their success this time around as well as they look to roll out their all-new 2018 Lexus RX 350H Hybrid, model.

A few speculations circulated around that despite the usage of an upgraded hybrid engine, this new 2018 Lexus RX 350H Hybrid model will not prove as spacious as its predecessors. However, the automakers have eliminated all such claims and have stated that their new model will have ample space for passengers. Though there is still some time for its official launch, expectations already have started to surge and fans cannot wait for moment when the model actually hits dealerships.

Outer and Interior Specifications

Speculations hold that this new 2018 Lexus RX 350H Hybrid will be sleeker and thinner in its exterior appearance. Lightweight components are highly expected to be used for its peripheral construction. The frontal grille appears to be trapezoidal in a structure comprising of chrome mesh finishes.

They are divided into a couple of tiers- the upper one comprising of the company emblem and the lower grille merging with the strongly built bumper. The headlights will be arranged in multi-cluster and the daytime running lights will probably incorporate jewel-style layout. The body will likely have uniform approach with a smoother bodywork (probably to make improvements on overall vehicle aerodynamics).

Interior will have soft bolstered seats with premium leather upholstery. A total of 5 seats will be divided into 2 rows. Improvements will be noticed in entertainment and gauge cluster. However, much of those details are still not revealed.

For an improved fuel power and ability to accelerate smoothly, this new-gen Lexus RX 350H Hybrid 2018 will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine along with a 126 kW electric motor. The sole output of the 3.5 L V6 in the previous line-ups was 259 HP and total output with the engine was around 308 HP. However this time around the automakers are mating it with an upgraded electric motor and so the outputs for the engine is expected to be around 264 HP and 275 lb-ft and combined to be around 320 HP and 342 lb-ft torque give or take.

Lexus RX 350H Hybrid 2018 model will mate their all- new hybrid engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Power will be adjusted to all its wheels. EPA rating of this model is expected to be 43 mpg in city, 39 mpg on highways and 41 mpg combined. Moreover this new-gen model is expected to make the 0-60 mph sprint in less than 6.9 seconds.

Price, Release and Competition

2018 Lexus RX 350H Hybrid is expected to come out late 2017 or early 2018. Prices are believed to be around $57,000. Its competition will come from the likes of Acura RDX, Infinity QX60 and Volvo XC90.
